Cheap: If you’ve never taken dance lessons before, now’s the perfect time to try! There are tons and tons of different types – swing, tango, salsa, rumba, etc – so do a search on YouTube and see what looks like a fit. Or just go to a dance studio’s open-house with an open mind! Clothing and footwear are important, but if you’re new a good instructor will be patient with you. Cheaper: In many cities, a dance school will have an open class to a large group at a discounted rate, followed by a dance for everyone – those who just took the class, their regular students, the public, etc – to take part in. Or just go to a club!
