Utility jackets (or "military jackets" or whatever you like to call them) are really this season's pea coat for all intents and purposes. Most of these designs seem to be derived from the traditional M65 Military jacket.
Verdict:
These aren't bad jackets at all, but be wary of the fit. Such jackets are indeed made to be relatively bulky, but that doesn't mean you should look excessively bulky- stick to something relatively fitted to remain modern.
