The Game: Castlevania, the 2D adventure series by Konami, is an incredibly great series (which is now evidently going to hell) featuring Vampires and overdressed vampire killers. The entire series has become so unique and popular that, along with the Metroid series, it has it's own genre, termed "Metroidvania"- a mixture of 2D action, adventure, RPG, and platforming, all in one crazy mixture of awesome.

The Fashion: Dear Ayami Kojima: I love you. Despite your slightly emo/prettyboy drawings, your fashion sensibilities are amazing. Drawing from all sorts of resources- some Victorian, some Edwardian, some modern, some more modern gothic- she creates an absolutely awesome clothing style. Certainly, this is nothing you could ever wear- but the clothing is unique, original, and downright fun- and, let's face it, I'm a fanboy for the styling. Unquestionably #1.
