Chambray is woven in a way similar (but not exactly like) denim, which means that in many respects it has a similar durability to denim. This ultimately means that chambray shirts hold up extremely well, and survive lots of wearing and washing with relative ease. Needless to say, these are the kind of shirts you want to wear if you expect to be a budding Indiana Jones.
