For Christmas, keep it simple. As you might have figured out thus far from my comments, dressing for Christmas is about wrapping traditional looks in a modern package -- but with shoes, the choice is pretty easy. Keep them black, classy, and simple. If you want to make them festive, pair a traditional pair of black loafers with a shocking (red?) pair of argyle or patterned socks. But keep the shoes simple.
