Great Cheap Clothing Alternatives

Written by admin, Monday, July 12th, 2010 in Fashion, The Style Guide
Fashion is expensive, no question. However, it doesn’t always have to be terribly expensive — for a lot of big budget items, you can always find alternatives that in some cases are even better quality than more expensive labels. Here are some examples.

The US Navy instead of Burberry

This may be a bit of an excessive example, but it still applies: stick with a classic US Navy Peacoat (or one designed similarly) if you want a hardy, long-lasting wool coat. While Burberry is a phenomenal brand that makes wonderful coats, their prices are far too high for the common man, especially when the Navy offerings are made to be used and abused. Just like the M65, check out army/navy supply stores online for new/used peacoats, and expect to have to have whatever you purchase tailored.
