Every so often, Well Cultured gets an e-mail from a college student desperately needing help to survive college- or a highschooler worried about what to expect. While everyone has a little bit of rough time in college, often the big problems- the life-ending sort of mishaps that leave you with a .5 GPA and no job- can be avoided so long as you do the right stuff. With that being said, here are some of the worst things you can do in college- by some of us who have been there ourselves.Partying Hard

Remember, school is legitimately a time for learning- honestly, there's not a worse time to party. While alcohol and women are available in copious amounts and there's nothing wrong with having a little bit of fun, getting caught in the rut of partying every weekend (or even just going overboard once) can really throw you off and hurt you academically, financially, and sometimes physically. If you can avoid it and can satisfy yourself with just being with a small group of friends, do it- your future self will thank you.
